The Women’s Ministry of First Baptist Church is organizing a group viewing of the new Christian comedy Moms’ Night Out.
How to participate: No sign-up is required. Simply visit the Silver Screen Theater box office at 100 Cinema Blvd, Cabot between now and show time to purchase your tickets. We will be attending the 7 pm showing. Regular rates apply. The theater did not extend a group rate to us but they assured us that we should not worry about the film selling out. They will simply add a second screen to show the movie if the first one is sold out. That being said, grab a mom, your mom, a mother-to-be, a neighbor, a friend, a co-worker and join us for a well deserved and much needed laugh.
In order to sit as a group, please allow yourselves ample time before the show to get your tickets (if you wait until the day of the show) and refreshments.
All Allyson and her friends want is a peaceful, grown-up evening of dinner and conversation . . . a long-needed moms’ night out. But in order to enjoy high heels, adult conversation and food not served in a bag, they need their husbands to watch the kids for a few hours—what could go wrong?
Chronicling one night out gone awry, three harried moms, their husbands, a sister-in-law with a misplaced baby, a tattoo parlor owner, a motorcycle gang, and a bewildered cabbie all learn to embrace the beautiful mess called parenting. This book spotlights the unfulfilled expectations and serial self-doubts many moms feel . . . then reassures us that the key is raising kids in a loving home. Mom’s Night Out is an endearing, true-to-life comedy.
**Although the celebrity endorsements in the graphic mention the show opening on May 9th, it will open on May 8th at Silver Screen Theater in Cabot.
Wednesday evenings from 6-7:30 Cherished Women at First have the opportunity to study the book of Ephesians. This study will be lead by Susan Shively in room 107. This 12 week study will be broken into two parts – 6 weeks precede VBS and 6 weeks will continue after VBS.
Cherished Women at First invites you to a Night of Worship Saturday, May 3. Bring a friend and enjoy an incredible night of praise and worship. Reserve childcare by signing up in the Commons or by contacting the church office.
Beth Moore is launching a new study called Children of the Day. In this study (releasing May 1) Beth will lead women on a journey to explore the books of 1 and 2 Thessalonians. The Women’s Ministry will be offering this study in the near future.
I was selected by Lifeway to be a part of the social media launch team. Lifeway will be providing quotes and video clips over the coming weeks that I will be sharing with you on our twitter and Facebook pages. It is my hope that you will be encouraged by these posts and that they will build anticipation and excitement for the study. ~ Amanda Geaney
